At CityLight, you can expect a dynamic, fun, and casual church service that includes great music, practical Biblical teaching, and an opportunity to experience the presence of God. There are many ways to get connected at CityLight! Through fun groups, life groups, and joining a helps ministry, you are able to get to know the people of CityLight and get plugged into our church family. If you are interested in more information please contact
Fun Groups: Fun Groups encourage fellowship and fun! They are great ways of getting to know the people of CityLight and begin to build relationships. They are open to all; depending on the activity, pre-registration is sometimes required. There are generally one or two fun groups a month so be sure to check the to see what is coming up, or email for more info.
Life Groups: These are small groups of 8-12 people who will study a book together. They foster learning and growing in your walk with the Lord. Each semester lasts about 8-12 weeks. They are open to all, however pre-registration is required, which happens appx. 4 weeks before each semester begins. Helps Ministries: In Ephesians 2:10, the bible says "We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" Here at CityLight we love to have everyone involved in our helps ministries. There are opportunities for serving in many different ways. Whether your skills be in greeting, ushering, media, teaching children, or serving in the office, we have a place for you to use your gifts. Why do you need a spiritual family?
1. You need healthy relationships. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the one who falls and has no one to help him up!"
2. You need a place where you can use your gifts. 1 Timothy 4:14 "Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you..."
3. You need a place where you can grow. Acts 2:42 "They joined with the other believers and devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, sharing in the breaking of bread and prayer."
4. You need to belong to something bigger than yourself. Romans 12:4-5 "Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." and also Hebrews 10:25 "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another…"
